We're changing the healthcare industry, one unmet gap at a time.

We develop medical solutions that make life better for people, patients and healthcare professionals.

How It All Started

Martin von Dyck

LumaClean, LLC is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) founded in February 2015, born from a simple yet critical realization: too many pain points in healthcare were being ignored. Patients and providers voiced their frustrations, searching for solutions—yet no one seemed to be listening.

That’s where we stepped in.At LumaClean, we listen intently, empathize deeply, and innovate tirelessly to develop solutions that improve lives—both for patients and healthcare professionals.

LumaCleanCares, LLC is led by its two Founders/Partners: a medical engineer and a registered dietitian. Among them is Martin von Dyck, a principal partner with a legacy of groundbreaking medical innovations. As the former President of Biosearch Medical Products, Inc., Martin became globally recognized as the “Enteral Innovator” and co-inventor of the Dobbhoff® naso-gastric feeding tube. In the early 2000s, he shifted focus to cardiovascular, neurovascular, and urology catheter technologies, later developing a swallowable catheter for early esophageal cancer detection—now used worldwide.

But his journey was far from over.

"I’m still hungry; I’m still passionate about what I’m doing," Martin says.

Years later, he returned to the enteral medical device industry, only to find that innovation had stalled.

"With the exception of enteral feeding pumps and the formulations, product evolution stopped in the enteral market. And that’s why I’m earnestly coming back in with a vigor. I’m coming back to my roots—to my true passion. I couldn’t be more delighted.

"In 2023, after co-inventing the EnClean® brush, designed to effectively clean ENFit® connectors, Martin attended the Oley conference. There, he met patients and caregivers whose stories deeply resonated with him—reinforcing his mission to drive change.

"It was an awakening for me to encounter so many patients who had many unaddressed needs. We want to focus on the pain points, both for the medical practitioners to the patient or the mom or dad or the relative providing care for a patient. There are so many unaddressed pain points. I want to fix that. We’re always listening, caring, and working toward solutions.

"At LumaCleanCares™, caring isn’t just a value—it’s our guiding principle.

Our Core Mission

At LumaCleanCares, we identify gaps in care and design medical solutions to advance the patient experience.

What We Value Most

We innovate. Our team collaborates with medical experts to design innovative medical devices. Our current medical innovations support those with enteral nutrition needs. However, we are actively developing new solutions in other medical specialties (eg. NICU, HomeCare, etc.) to enhance patient care.

We listen. Patients and providers understand best what's missing in treatment and therapy. We pay attention to their pain and frustration, and we develop healthcare innovations that truly make a difference.

Above all else, we care. Compassion drives everything we do, fueling our commitment to improving the lives of patients seeking solutions. We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference for both patients and healthcare professionals.
